Supersized Light Show Projected on Edge of Escarpment Geological history comes to light on a 7-story cliff as projection artist, Pamela Vasquez presents “Behind the Layers,” an interpretation of the Niagara Escarpment. Seated in the natural amphitheater of an abandoned quarry, viewers will watch a fossil figure transform from the oldest record of time, narrated by a geologist. For More Information Local artists are invited to enter their two and three-dimensional artwork, poetry and original music. The exhibit is part of a 6 week Calumet County celebration of the Niagara Escarpment. The theme can be interpreted broadly to include the beauty, unique geological formation, and habitat of the Niagara Escarpment, its environmental issues concerning land and water, and the living things -- plant, animal and human, that share a home on the ledge; living on the edge of our common ground.
