My images intend to speak to beauty as its own reward, much in the same manner as a painting or other fine visual art form; a timeless moment rather than a moment in time. I construct my images with special attention paid to shapes and value and how they interact with other eye catching textural elements in the composition.

All of my images are captured on black and white film, using either large or medium format cameras. The images are printed on fiber based gelatin silver paper and wet darkroom processed by my hand. Each image is tailored for one viewer at a time, with none printed larger than 16x20 inches. I feel the viewer should be able to stand at arm's length and simultaneously take in the entire image and still be able to scrutinize the most finely focused areas.
